My Story

Passionate Go-Getter

I am Ekaterine Diakonidze, an immigrant, a mom, and a professional with a diverse background in public administration, translation, and public relations. I graduated from the Georgia Technical University in Tbilisi, Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Translation and a Master’s degree with honors in Public Relations. I moved to the United States in 2010 and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Public Administration at Rutgers State University of New Jersey. I have over 15 years of experience in both public and private sectors, demonstrating exceptional leadership in all. As an immigrant, I have successfully overcome numerous challenges, embodying qualities of responsibility, honesty, and fairness in all my endeavors. My multilingualism and critical thinking skills have been instrumental in developing other key competencies such as strategic planning, budget evaluation, policy creation, and regulatory oversight.

My career has been marked by significant achievements, including my role as Assistant to the Deputy Auditor General at the State Audit Office of the Republic of Georgia, where I contributed to implementing international standards and substantial budget recoveries. In my current role as a Field Investigator at the NJ Department of Labor/Wage and Hour, I continue to excel, enforcing labor laws and protecting workers' rights through meticulous investigations. My journey as an immigrant has not only shaped my resilience but has also enriched my ability to thrive in diverse and challenging environments.
